"The hour is come, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth,for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is a spirit, and those that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth." (John 4:23-24) This text very plainly states that there is a right way to worship God, but these verses also imply that there is a wrong way to worship God. There are the true worshipers, and then there are the not-so true worshipers. The goal we have here at Union Hill is to be true worshipers of God. To do this we have to worship God with our heart (in spirit), but also in truth (with the word of God as our guide). What God says to do, we do, period. "If ye love Me, keep My commandments." (John 15:14). We show God our love by doing what He tells us to do, how He tells us, and that's what we do in our worship to Him. |
